Historically, Silicon Valley has been a male-dominated startup ecosystem and while the spotlight is often on gender bias, discrepancies continue to exist in funding. In 2019 TechCrunch released an article “US VC investment in female founders hits all-time high” with a headlining percentage of "2.8% of funding for 2019." Despite many efforts, the startup ecosystem is still lacking in female diversity and female-founded companies. It's time to change this.
